JCE Renewable Services Ltd Modern Slavery Statement

At JCE Renewable Services Ltd, we are committed to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking in all areas of our business and supply chain. We have zero tolerance for any form of forced labour, exploitation, or human trafficking.

This statement outlines the steps we have taken to prevent modern slavery within our organisation and supply chain during the year ending 31 December 2025.

JCE Renewable Services Ltd Business Structure

JCE Renewable Services Ltd and its subsidiaries and sister companies provide specialist construction and engineering services that support the development and maintenance of infrastructure assets across the public and private sectors within the UK infrastructure industry.

All of our operations are carried out within the United Kingdom. Our workforce is primarily made up of directly employed staff, with temporary labour engaged only where necessary through trusted recruitment partners. All workers engaged by us are required to have the legal right to work in the UK.

We recruit employees either directly or through a small number of carefully selected recruitment agencies. Each recruitment partner must successfully complete our supply chain due diligence process before being approved to work with us.

JCE Renewable Services Ltd firmly believes that no individual should ever pay to secure employment. Any recruitment costs associated with workers engaged by the company are borne entirely by JCE Renewable Services Ltd. We also expect all recruitment and supply chain partners to comply with this principle as part of our due diligence procedures.

JCE Renewable Services Ltd Supply Chain

Due to our operating model of direct employment and our predominantly UK-based supply chain, we consider the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking within our direct operations to be low. However, we recognise that some risk may exist further within the extended supply chain.

We work closely with our Tier 1 supply chain partners to identify, assess, and mitigate any potential risks relating to modern slavery and human trafficking.

Policies and Governance

JCE Renewable Services Ltd maintains comprehensive policies relating to the prevention of modern slavery and human trafficking. These are supported by our Code of Practice for Subcontractors and our Business Ethics policies, which provide clear guidance on reporting concerns or suspected wrongdoing within our business or supply chain.

Our policies and procedures outline our approach to identifying, preventing, and addressing modern slavery risks. These commitments have been communicated internally to employees and externally to our Tier 1 supply chain partners.

We apply a risk-based approach when assessing potential exposure to modern slavery. Risk factors considered include:

  • Geographic location of products or services
  • Industry sector
  • Nature of supplier relationships
  • Existing supplier data and performance

This assessment is supported by recognised external resources and guidance, including the Global Slavery Index and the Corruption Perceptions Index.

Due Diligence and Risk Management

Our direct employment model is supported by robust recruitment procedures, including verification of identity and right-to-work checks for all employees. These measures significantly reduce the risk of forced labour or human trafficking within our workforce.

Where labour-only subcontractors are engaged, we undertake due diligence checks to ensure labour providers comply with our commitment to preventing modern slavery and that their recruitment practices are lawful and ethical.

Although our supply chain is primarily UK-based, we continue to assess supply chain activities to identify and prioritise any areas that may present a heightened risk of modern slavery.

Actions Taken During 2024/25

During the reporting period, we have:

  • Continued monitoring identified high-risk suppliers through data analysis
  • Carried out a programme of audits for key high-risk suppliers
  • Introduced a Forced Labour Policy
  • Integrated modern slavery requirements into supplier reviews and vendor assessment procedures for both new and existing suppliers
  • Implemented a three-year supplier reassessment process
  • Utilised a Managed Service Provider (MSP) model for contingent labour to provide additional oversight and assurance
  • Ensured all procurement personnel completed the CIPS Ethics Test to maintain awareness of modern slavery risks and ethical sourcing practices
  • Retained the CIPS Ethics Kite Mark, recognising strong ethical procurement controls and procedures
  • Become a StrongerTogether Business Partner

Objectives for 2026

Our objectives for the coming financial year include:

  • Conducting a further review of the supply chain to identify any changes in supplier risk status
  • Continuing engagement with strategic suppliers and industry bodies to share best practice and improve understanding of modern slavery risks
  • Participating in collaborative initiatives relating to human rights, slavery, and human trafficking
  • Maintaining our StrongerTogether Business Partner accreditation through the annual review process

Communication and Training

Our Board of Directors is fully committed to the prevention of modern slavery and human trafficking. This commitment is communicated throughout the business and to our subcontractors and supply chain partners.

All employees receive annual training appropriate to their role and responsibilities, particularly where they are involved in recruitment, procurement, or supply chain management.

Commitment

The Board of Directors has reviewed and approved this statement on 24 February 2026 and fully supports the company’s ongoing commitment to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking.

We recognise that tackling modern slavery requires continual development and improvement. As part of our long-term strategy, we will continue to review and strengthen our approach each year and use our annual statements to demonstrate the progress we are making.
